About Forge & Fern Jewelry

Forge & Fern Jewelry is the design studio of Britt Wolf. The studio exists to develop original fine jewelry built on strong design, careful engineering, and disciplined craftsmanship.

Forge & Fern Jewelry represents a lifelong commitment to jewelry as both art and structure. Each piece is created with attention to proportion, balance, and long-term durability.

The goal of Forge & Fern Jewelry is not to follow short trends. The goal is to create jewelry that feels intentional, well built, and visually strong from every angle.

The Background Behind Forge & Fern Jewelry

Britt Wolf began working at the jewelry bench at sixteen years old. Years of daily work developed the technical skill required to create fine jewelry that holds up over time.

That experience eventually grew beyond the bench into jewelry design and business ownership. Britt founded and operated BVW Jewelers, an award-winning jewelry store in Reno, Nevada, for more than 15 years. The business became known for custom jewelry, original design, fine craftsmanship, and long-term customer relationships.

After more than 15 years building and operating BVW Jewelers, Britt handed the business on and began the next chapter of his work with Forge & Fern Jewelry in Southern Oregon. Forge & Fern provides a more focused environment for original design, unusual gemstones, one-of-a-kind jewelry, and the ideas developed through a lifetime at the bench.

That experience shaped the foundation behind Forge & Fern Jewelry. It confirmed that strong jewelry must be built on structure, not only appearance.

Design must work visually. It must also work mechanically. A ring must feel right on the hand. A stone must be properly protected. A pendant must hang correctly. Every detail contributes to the finished piece.

Jewelry Designed With Purpose

Forge & Fern Jewelry was created as a place to explore original jewelry design without being limited by conventional retail expectations. The focus is on developing jewelry with its own character, structure, and point of view.

Some designs begin with an unusual gemstone. Others begin with a natural form, historical influence, symbolic idea, or simple line drawn on paper. The finished jewelry develops from that starting point through drawing, modeling, fabrication, stone setting, and refinement.

Traditional jewelry-making skills remain an important part of the process. Modern tools and technology are used when they improve accuracy, consistency, or the ability to explore a design more completely.

The method is never the point. The finished jewelry is.

From the Bench to Forge & Fern

Decades spent designing, repairing, rebuilding, and creating jewelry provide an unusual perspective on how jewelry succeeds or fails over time.

Repair work reveals weak construction. Custom work teaches how proportion and comfort affect everyday wear. Stone setting teaches respect for both the gemstone and the structure surrounding it.

Those lessons continue to influence every Forge & Fern design.

The studio brings that technical background into a more exploratory environment where original ideas can develop into rings, pendants, earrings, and one-of-a-kind jewelry.

Original Fine Jewelry From Southern Oregon

Forge & Fern Jewelry is based in Southern Oregon, surrounded by forests, mountains, stone, water, and changing seasons. Those surroundings naturally influence the studio's approach to form, texture, and material.

Nature does not always appear literally in the jewelry. A branch may become a line. A landscape may influence proportion. A stone may determine the entire direction of a piece.

The result is jewelry that combines traditional craftsmanship with an individual approach to design.

Forge & Fern Jewelry continues to develop original collections, unusual gemstone pieces, nature-inspired jewelry, symbolic designs, and one-of-a-kind work created with the same attention to structure and craftsmanship developed over a lifetime at the bench.
