About Forge & Fern Jewelry
Forge & Fern Jewelry is the design studio of Britt Wolf. The studio exists to develop original fine jewelry built on strong design, careful engineering, and disciplined craftsmanship.
Forge & Fern Jewelry represents a lifelong commitment to jewelry as both art and structure. Each piece is created with attention to proportion, balance, and long-term durability.
The goal of Forge & Fern Jewelry is not to follow short trends. The goal is to create jewelry that feels intentional, well built, and visually strong from every angle.
The Background Behind Forge & Fern Jewelry
Britt Wolf began working at the jewelry bench at sixteen years old. Years of daily work developed the technical skill required to create fine jewelry that holds up over time.
Over the following decades, that experience grew into both design work and business ownership. Britt built and operated BVW Jewelers in Reno, Nevada, where the focus was custom jewelry, fine craftsmanship, and long-term customer relationships.
That experience shaped the foundation behind Forge & Fern Jewelry. It confirmed that strong jewelry must be built on structure, not only appearance.
Design must work visually. It must also work mechanically. A ring must feel right on the hand. A pendant must hang correctly. A piece must hold up after years of wear.
Forge & Fern Jewelry carries that same standard forward in every design.
The Design Philosophy of Forge & Fern Jewelry
Forge & Fern Jewelry focuses on sculptural form, clean structure, and controlled detail. Each design begins with the idea that jewelry should feel solid, balanced, and intentional.
Many pieces draw inspiration from natural shapes. Curves, branches, stone textures, and organic movement often guide the design direction.
Those natural elements are balanced with architectural clarity. Lines must make sense. Weight must be controlled. Surfaces must transition smoothly.
Texture is used carefully. Polish is used where it strengthens the form. Matte or carved surfaces are used where contrast improves the design.
This approach allows Forge & Fern Jewelry to create work that feels both natural and structured at the same time.
How Forge & Fern Jewelry Is Designed
Every piece created at Forge & Fern Jewelry begins as a concept. The idea moves through sketching, digital modeling, and careful refinement.
During this process, proportion and balance are adjusted until the design feels correct. Small changes in thickness, curve, or angle can change how a piece looks and how it wears.
Digital modeling allows each part of the design to be tested before the piece is made. This helps ensure that the final jewelry is strong, comfortable, and visually clear.
After the structure is resolved, the design moves into production. Materials, finish, and stone placement are chosen to support the original idea rather than distract from it.
Forge & Fern Jewelry is built slowly on purpose. Careful work produces better results than fast work.
Types of Work Created at Forge & Fern Jewelry
Forge & Fern Jewelry develops rings, pendants, and earrings in fine metals. Each design is created to stand on its own while still fitting into a larger visual style.
Rings often focus on strong form and weight. Pendants explore shape and movement. Earrings are designed to feel balanced and comfortable while still having clear detail.
Some pieces are simple. Others are more sculptural. The common goal is always the same. The design must feel complete and intentional.
Forge & Fern Jewelry does not rely on copying existing styles. The studio exists to create new work that reflects experience, skill, and a clear point of view.
Recognition and Experience
Britt Wolf has spent decades working in jewelry design and craftsmanship. During that time, his work has received both local and national recognition.
He has been involved in speaking events, professional organizations, and community programs connected to business and design.
Years of custom work, repair work, and design work helped build the technical knowledge behind Forge & Fern Jewelry.
That background allows the studio to focus on original design without losing the practical understanding required to build jewelry that lasts.
The Vision for Forge & Fern Jewelry
Forge & Fern Jewelry exists to explore new ideas and continue a lifelong pursuit of fine jewelry design. The studio is built for people who value strong craftsmanship and thoughtful structure.
Each piece is meant to feel personal, solid, and carefully made. Jewelry should not feel disposable. It should feel like something worth keeping.
Forge & Fern Jewelry will continue to develop original collections based on sculptural form, natural influence, and disciplined construction.
